Feast your eyes and your appetite on this one of a kind charter. There's no other adventure offered on Vancouver Island like it! We offer this adventure year round with opportunities to taste the ocean from the seafloor to the pelagic species above.
Beginning bright and early when the sun rises at 6:00am we will depart the dock to set our crab and prawn traps and make our way through the Barkley Sound to fish for Lingcod and Rockfish with the opportunity to catch Halibut.
In the afternoon after fishing for Salmon we will return to our prawn traps and begin forging for seasonal oysters, mussels and clams along the beaches and rocks of the secluded Barkley Sound.
Some forging restrictions may apply and not guaranteed in the summer, as shellfish and bi-valves are susceptible and may be compromised by bacteria and algae blooms.
We will be back at the dock for 3:00pm and from the harbor you have the opportunity to gather salty sea asparagus on the property.
This schedule is not absolute and may be adjusted to guarantee your desired catch.
Winter offers exciting opportunities to storm watch and fish on calmer days. We have designed this charter to work with the weather and provide a unique experience to our guests. Spread your time out on the ocean on this multi-day adventure and get 2-3 days enjoying the sea breeze aboard our vessel. Dress warmly.
